Project Description
Qikiqtaaluk Corporation, through its subsidiary company 3379442 Canada Inc., was the developer of a $62 million hospital in Iqaluit – the first hospital in Nunavut. This project was started in 2004 and the doors opened in 2008.
The project was the first example of an Inuit company partnering with the Government of Nunavut under a Private-Public Partnership model. QC was responsible for the financing, design and construction, resource mobilization and administration and quality control.
